COMMENTS: Some live cattle sales were marked at $188 which is steady
with last week's weighted average. The North has yet to trade any sizeable
volume of cattle, but given that prices have remained steady in the South,
it's likely that Northern feedlots will price their cattle higher this week.
Asking prices for cattle left to sell remain firm at $188 in the South and
asking prices in the North remain unestablished still. Packer interest
should improve on Thursday.
